This policy covers Linkloom at linkloom.co.business and the Linkloom New Tab — Beautiful Bookmarks Chrome extension. Linkloom is operated by Ibrahim Shahin. For privacy questions, support, or account-deletion requests, contact linkloom.publisher@gmail.com.
Deleted items and local recovery
Deleted bookmarks and collections can be restored from Trash for 30 days on the device where they were deleted. Trash is stored separately for each account, is not synchronized to the server, and is not included in library exports. Private bookmark contents remain encrypted. Expired entries are cleared when Trash is opened or new items are deleted. You can permanently empty Trash at any time.
Information we process
- Bookmarks: the page URLs, titles, short page descriptions, available site icons, notes, tags, favorites, folders, and creation dates that you choose to save or import.
- Account information: your name, email address, account password submitted for authentication, and session information when you create or use an account.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser/device information, and request or security logs processed by our hosting and authentication services to operate and protect the service. The extension does not request GPS location.
- Support messages: the information you choose to send when contacting us.
Linkloom reads the current tab's title, URL, and short page description (the page's own description tag, if it has one) only when you open the save popup or choose “Save page to Linkloom” from the right-click menu. “Save link to Linkloom” records only the link address and its text. It does not continuously monitor your browsing history, record keystrokes, or read the full contents of every page you visit. Saved bookmarks may reveal your interests or other personal information.
Importing from Chrome
If you choose Import from Chrome, Linkloom asks Chrome for permission to read your bookmarks, copies their web addresses, titles, dates, and folder names into your Linkloom library, and gives the permission back as soon as the copy is made. Linkloom never changes or deletes your Chrome bookmarks, and nothing is read unless you start an import.
Local storage and account synchronization
Guest bookmarks and preferences are stored in your browser profile. Connecting an account enables synchronization of that account's bookmark collection through our HTTPS server to NoCodeBackend, which provides authentication and database storage. Our configured NoCodeBackend database is in the EU region. Hosting, authentication, and support providers may process information in other countries.
Authentication uses session cookies, and the extension retains local session state and cached account data. Signing out ends the session but does not erase all cached account bookmarks from the device. You can remove local data by clearing the website's site data or removing the extension. Removing local data does not delete your server account.
Private folders
Private-folder bookmark contents, including URLs, titles, notes, tags, favorites, and stored icons, are encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before synchronization. The private-folder password is not sent to our server. Folder names, hierarchy, identifiers, and record counts are not encrypted. Ordinary bookmarks outside private folders are not protected by this folder encryption.
Keep your folder passwords safe: resetting your account password cannot recover a forgotten private-folder password. Moving an ordinary bookmark into a private folder does not remove copies that may already exist in earlier snapshots, exports, or backups.
How information is used and shared
We use information to save and organize bookmarks, authenticate accounts, synchronize libraries, provide support, and protect the service. Our hosting, database, authentication, and email providers process information as needed to deliver these functions. Authorized operation of the backend can involve access to account information and unencrypted bookmarks.
We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, use it to assess creditworthiness, or transfer it for purposes unrelated to Linkloom's bookmark and account functionality. The application contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. We may disclose information when required by law.
If you use a remotely hosted custom icon, your browser requests it from that host, which can receive your IP address; Linkloom omits the referrer on those image requests. Captured or uploaded icons are stored with the bookmark instead. Opening a saved link takes you to a separate website governed by its own privacy practices.
Retention and your choices
Account data is retained to provide your library until removed through the application or an account-deletion request. Synchronization keeps the current and previous full snapshots; a best-effort cleanup clears older snapshot contents while retaining revision markers. Service logs and provider backups follow the providers' retention schedules and may retain earlier copies beyond deletion from the active library.
You can edit or delete bookmarks, export your library, sign out, and revoke other account sessions. To request deletion of your account and server library, email linkloom.publisher@gmail.com from your registered address. We may verify account ownership before acting. Never send us your password. Exported files and copies on other devices remain under your control.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS for service connections, authenticated access controls, and browser-side encryption for private-folder bookmark contents. No storage or transmission method guarantees absolute security. This policy will be updated when our practices change; the revision date appears above.
